SOCIAL STRATEGY MANAGER

7egend is searching for a Social Media Manager to support our Football Clients.

In this role you'll lead the development of paid, owned and earned digital and social marketing strategies including original series, social-first programming and an active community.

Some of our clients include Football Clubs as well as numerous global brands, broadcast and online publishing companies.

Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Develop and execute social media strategy and execution for multiple brands and initiatives, including social publishing calendars and content development

  • Develop audience building and engagement strategies around YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, IGTV and additional emerging platforms

  • Partner with editorial and production teams to develop social-first content extensions

  • Work with new and existing talent and influencers

  • Lead execution of platform-specific programming

  • Execute on digital media plans, promotions and experiences

  • Collaborate on integrated campaigns

  • Manage social concept development and content approvals

  • Act as primary point of contact for Production, Community and Editorial teams

  • Manage our partnerships with key platform partners

  • Work with research team to develop and track insights, and provide regular metrics and reports


    The required skills are

  • Leadership skills including direct management experience

  • Digital project management experience working on integrated campaigns

  • Communication, collaboration and general relationship management skills

  • Strong writing skills with little copy editing oversight needed

  • Proven marketing skills for brand and audience development

  • Web and social analytics skills (use of Crowdtangle a plus)

  • Love for, sports, football content is preferred

  • Strong English language skills, spoken and written. (Spanish a plus)

  •  Love to travel and discover new sports cultures


  • Very valuable

  • Exhaustive understanding of sports and the digital media landscape including previous experiencing publishing sports social media content

  • Avid consumer of social media sports, football trends and an interest in the ever-evolving digital landscape

  • Mentoring junior club staff as they manage the platforms
